
In our tradition, the word Sangha refers to a "community that lives in harmony and awareness". We are a Sangha practicing mindfulness and meditation in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhât Hanh, who teaches Buddhist mindfulness practice at Plum Village, France. Locally, we are connected with the monks and nuns of Deer Park Monastery, in Escondido, CA (near San Diego).

Our practice meetings include silent sitting meditation, walking meditation, singing and chanting, readings, and dharma discussions. We practice from 7pm-8:30pm every Sunday night. Our weekly practice takes place in Unity House on the grounds of Unity Church of Santa Barbara.
To get to Unity House: Please enter the Unity Church grounds via the parking lot off of Valerio Street, between Garden and Santa Barbara Streets. As you enter the parking lot from Valerio, Unity House is ahead on your right, at the lower ("downhill") end of the parking lot.
(Please do not use the Arrellaga St. parking lot, as this is reserved for Unity Church functions. Although Unity Church graciously allows us to use their facilities, our practice is not sponsored by Unity Church.)
